The second National Sports Day

Government, Mayor Kossi Agbényega Aboka and other local authorities.
The head of government, Victoire
Tomégah-Dogbé, was present at this second event and spoke to the audience about
the main thrusts of the Togolese government. She then sensitised the Togolese
on the importance of the 5th General Census of Population and Housing. Indeed,
the (RGPH-5) is intended to make available an updated, reliable and
disaggregated demographic and socio-economic data base. Data that Togo needs to
respond effectively to the needs of planning and management of programmes to
reduce poverty and enable decision makers to develop plans and strategies for
economic development. "I invite you to welcome the enumerators who are
carrying out a public service mission and to provide them with the information
requested. This information will enable us to update the demographic and
socio-economic figures, 12 years after the last general census," said
Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé.
To close the year, the last two
sports days will take place on 26 November and 31 December 2022. According to
data from the Ministry of Health, 27.4% of the population aged between 18 and
