There are several
studies that have confirmed that the best diet is based on one's blood type.
Other studies have been carried out to find out which blood group is most at
risk from strokes.
Globally, women are reported to have more strokes than men, and also a higher mortality is noted in women. At least 16 million new cases of stroke are recorded each year, including 5.7 million deaths worldwide. The main causes are: high blood pressure, alcohol, diabetes.
Blood group A
more at risk
An American study by researchers at the University of Maryland shows that people with blood type A are more affected by strokes and deaths. "Out of about 600,000 people, 16,730 had a stroke, a stroke before the age of 60. What is interesting is that these were strokes where an artery in the brain becomes blocked due to a clot. People with blood type A had a higher than average risk. On the other hand, the risk was reduced for group O. This can be explained by the fact that people of blood group A have poorer coagulation and therefore clot more easily", the report on this study states.
What can be done to
limit strokes?
The best foods for people with blood type A are fruit and vegetables. Some of the most beneficial foods for people with blood type A are: soy and soy products, pineapple, black beans, peanuts, rice, corn, carrots, gboma, okra, onion, parsley, lemon, grapefruit, green tea, ginger, aloe vera, coffee, water, red wine. The study gives some advice on how to avoid strokes: take regular blood pressure checks, avoid smoking, eat a healthy and balanced diet based on plants and do regular sports, including cycling, dancing or even 10 minutes a day of brisk walking. This is good for protecting the heart and brain.
