The kidneys play a key role in eliminating waste and filtering the blood. When they are weakened, their ability to function properly diminishes, increasing the risk of kidney failure. According to Dr Joseph Pizzorno, author of ‘Toxiques, La Solution’, it is possible to improve kidney function in just two weeks using specific plants, including ginger. Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, ginger helps to deactivate pro-inflammatory genes and promote kidney detoxification.
A study
published in the Journal of Medicinal Food found that regular consumption
significantly improved kidney parameters in patients. Grate 10 ginger roots and
infuse in 1 litre of boiling water for one hour. To soften its acidity, combine
with 25cl of beetroot juice. Filter and store in the fridge. In cooking: add
fresh or powdered ginger to everyday dishes. Although ginger has few
contraindications, it may interact with certain treatments (anticoagulants,
antihypertensives, antidiabetics). In the case of chronic diseases, medical
advice is recommended before using ginger on a regular basis.
