The
Union Régionale des Apiculteurs de la Région Centrale - Togo, (COOP-CA API
-CENTRALE) is taking part in the fourth edition of the "Made in Togo"
fair, which began on 28 July 2023 and ends today, 06 August 2023, where it is
exhibiting a range of high-quality products. The cooperative, which specialises
in the production of organic honey, is taking part in the fair thanks to the
"MiKaGo" project, of which it is a beneficiary and which is funded by
the non-governmental organisation Vétérinaires Sans Frontières (VSF).
The
'Made in Togo' fair is a prestigious showcase for Togo's local products, with
the emphasis on promoting local businesses and initiatives. It is in this
context that the Union Régionale des Apiculteurs de la Région Centrale - Togo,
(COOP-CA API -CENTRALE) is exhibiting its high-quality organic honey products,
gaining in visibility and recognition.
The
"MiKaGo" project has played a key role in developing the cooperative
and consolidating its market position. Thanks to funding from Vétérinaires Sans
Frontières (VSF), the cooperative has been able to improve its production
infrastructure, modernise its beekeeping methods, and build the capacity of its
members through training and sustainable agricultural development programmes.
The
organic honey produced by COOP-CA API-CENTRALE is renowned for its exceptional
quality and its compliance with environmental and health standards. By using
environmentally-friendly beekeeping practices, the cooperative is actively
involved in preserving biodiversity and protecting bees, thereby playing a
crucial role in preserving the local ecosystem.
The
'MiKaGo' project has also enabled the cooperative to set up a transparent
traceability system for its products, offering consumers a guarantee of the
origin and quality of the honey they buy. This transparency strengthens
consumer confidence in the cooperative's products and helps to support the
region's economic development.
The
Union Régionale des Apiculteurs de la Région Centrale - Togo, (COOP-CA API
-CENTRALE) has its stand open in the OTI pavilion on the site of the "Made
in Togo" fair being held at Togo 2000 until 06 August 2023.
